Sunday, June 4—South Lawn of Old Main, 10:00 a.m.
Knox College Commencement is right around the corner, and exciting events are in store to celebrate our graduates. Commencement 2017 is on Sunday, June 4. Families are encouraged to book their accommodations early, since nearby hotels fill up fast. Bookmark this page for the latest information, as events are subject to change.
In early January, potential graduates will receive information from the College regarding Commencement planning -- including when to order their cap & gown, where they need to check-in before finalizing graduation plans, and who to contact for questions. Be sure to read those materials thoroughly and follow the instructions.
*Please note that travel directions to campus on the day of Commencement will be altered due to another event in downtown Galesburg. Guests are encouraged to follow a detour that morning, due to closing of streets on the morning of Commencement. Visitors arriving on I-74 (east of Galesburg) will want to exit at Main Street and turn South onto Prairie Street. Visitors arriving on Highway 34 (west of Galesburg) will want to exit at Main Street and turn South onto Academy or Prairie Streets. Parking is available in all campus lots and in the Knox County Courthouse lot at the corner of Cherry & South Streets. Download detour directions.
