When we say we're human powered, we mean that quite literally.

  1. More than half of our students participate in some kind of organized athletic activity, from club sports (water polo, fencing, women's rugby); to intramurals (basketball, indoor soccer, softball, volleyball); to fitness classes organized and taught by students (a few recent examples: Balinese dancing, yoga). And don't forget about our 20 NCAA Division III teams.
  2. Great equipment and facilities make all that movement possible. Our 13,000-square-foot E. & L. Andrew Fitness Center features a cardio exercise area, a free weight training area, and a fitness studio. We also have indoor and outdoor tracks; baseball, softball, football, and soccer fields; tennis courts; and a pool. Explore our athletic facilities.
  3. To keep our students ready for any activity, we offer comprehensive healthcare resources. Our on-campus Health Services provides medical care to students at no cost per visit and no limit to the number of visits to the center. And we understand that wellness is more than just physical health, which is why we offer confidential counseling and other mental health resources free of charge to all Knox students.
