With students at the heart of all that we do, the Division of Student Development is here to support student success both inside and outside of the classroom. Informed by decades of theory, best practices, and educational models that affirm and support our commitment to the holistic development of all students, we strive to help students develop an honest appreciation of themselves, make choices aligned with their values, sustain meaningful interpersonal connections, and engage deeply with those different from themselves--all in support of becoming engaged members of an equitable and inclusive society.
The Vice President for Student Development provides leadership and vision in promoting the academic achievement, personal development, and campus life experience of Knox's undergraduates. The Vice President is an advocate for holistic student learning and represents students and their concerns across campus.
The Dean of Students staff advocates for student needs, acts as liaison between students and academic departments, and provides support designed to enhance personal growth and instill a sense of personal authority and responsibility in each student.
The Bastian Family Center for Career Success assists students in preparing for careers after graduation by providing a range of services for them to explore their interests and skills.
Campus Life promotes the importance of being a member of a vital, diverse residential community through a variety of housing options and student activities.
Good physical and mental health are vital to life on campus. Health and Counseling Services provides health care and confidential counseling services for all students.
The Mark and Jeannette Kleine Center for Community Service works to create and maintain service partnerships between the College community and the Galesburg community.
Intercultural Life helps to meet the needs and concerns of multicultural, minority and international students through academic and personal counseling.
The Office of Spiritual Life exists to nurture the spiritual life for students, and wider community of Knox College.
The Office of Spiritual Life is a place where anyone, no matter their faith or their questions can come and explore. We offer many opportunities through discussions, shared meals, workshops, invited guests, field trips, and musical experiences, all to expand mutual understanding of each other and our place in the larger world.
We are here to support you and to help you stay connected to your student as you journey with them through their college experience.
