Smart Start prepares you to launch into Summer Advising, which begins July 15-26. Sure, there is a lot to learn about Knox, but Smart Start will ease you into it. On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, all new students must attend online informational sessions to help them prepare to meet their academic advisors in the following weeks.
Informational sessions will provide an overview of what academic advising is and help you navigate all of the options in front of you. Sessions will include opportunities to learn about:
Smart Start will explain how to prepare for your summer advising meetings and assist you in crafting a course preference plan before you meet with your academic advisor for Fall registration. For first-year students, your one-on-one meetings with your advisor will happen sometime between Monday, July 15th, and Friday, July 26th.
