The first Venture Boldly stop of the New Year was held in Atlanta at The Legacy Test Kitchen, located in the heart of the Centennial Park District, on Thursday, January 16, 2025. A small but mighty (just like Knox) group of alumni friends gathered to learn more about Knox’s first comprehensive campaign in more than 20 years, sharing a few of their own personal stories along the way. 

Emaad Hassan ’07 welcomed attendees and Knox staff to Atlanta, the land of the 3Cs: Coca Cola, CNN, and the CDC, where he serves as a senior project officer. He also introduced Vice President for Student Development MarQuita Barker who spoke about Knox’s current Living Learning Communities and how they help students build connections quickly at the start of their first year on campus.

President C. Andrew McGadney closed out the presentation by sharing a vision for the College’s future growth–the foundation for the Venture Boldly Campaign. He discussed the impact that investments can have on College operations, including the new facility at Green Oaks, the newly launched Etz Family Institute for Civic Leadership & Dialogue, a new model on how we deliver student outcomes and success, and the development of new pathways to recruit the best and brightest faculty for the next generation of students. He closed his remarks by sharing how Knox alumni and friends can participate in the largest comprehensive campaign in the College’s history: volunteer, attend events, be a Knox ambassador (wear your swag), and give.
