What is your connection to Knox?

Knox gave my in-laws and nephew a great education. My father-in-law was able to run a successful business in Galesburg because of his studies.

Why do you think that Knox is so important to the community?

Knox is a vital part of Galesburg for so many reasons. I especially love the Gale Scholars program. As a former Galesburg High School teacher, I was able to see the positive impact the program has on young people who might not be able to attend college without the mentorship and financial opportunities the program offers.

Why do you give to Knox?

My family continues to support Knox because the college is a positive part of the community.  I like the steps that have been taken by the Knox administration to keep the college and town connected. Knox enhances Galesburg in so many ways, including speakers, the Knox Galesburg Symphony, art, and other cultural activities. The foundation grants we awarded to Knox will help continue the community and college connection. Knox Corps is sending bright young individuals into Galesburg to improve various organizations. Alumni Hall will include services that the community will be able to tap into.
