Emergency Medicine Specialist
Kelsea Flanagan is an emergency medicine specialist located in Naperville, IL. Kelsea works with Health Professions Advising to give students shadowing experience at the emergency department at Edward Elmhurst Health.
Susan Arjmand graduated with a BA in English Literature from Knox and spent her senior year on the Besancon, France program. After graduation, she attended medical school at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and became a family medicine physician. She served as assistant professor at Rush Medical College before becoming the medical director of the Chicago Police Department, a position she retired from in 2022. Susan obtained her MHPE (master's degree in health professions education) at UIC and focused on Narrative Medicine and the pedagogy of Literature and Medicine. She is a regular collaborator and presenter on campus; most recently, she gave a workshop on medical humanities in 2023. She coaches Knox pre-health students who are preparing for medical school interviews.

Lawrence Murray is a physician assistant in the ER at OSF. Lawrence accepts Knox pre-health students for shadowing in the emergency department at OSF in Galesburg, a great local opportunity for students.
