Each student project—whether poster or oral presentation—must be registered by April 1 in order to participate in HORIZONS. If multiple students are presenting a project, only ONE student needs to register the project. Register via the Project Registration Form.
The faculty mentor who supervised the project should signify approval of the HORIZONS presentation (poster or oral) as soon as the student registers the project, or latest by April 10. The mentor will be sent an email requesting their review when the student submits the Project Registration Form.
Drop-in sessions offered by the Vovis Center for Research and Advanced Study, in which presenters can ask questions specific to their presentations, learn best practices for poster and presentation creation, and common mistakes. Sign up for a 15-minute session on Tuesday April 23 in Alumni Hall Suite 231.
Posters must be submitted (via the Project Submission Form) by April 28 if you wish for Vovis Center to print the poster. If you choose to print on your own, you must submit the paper copy of your poster to Vovis Center by May 13 at 4pm for it to be included in the HORIZONS event on May 17.
Presentations must be submitted via the Project Submission Form by April 28 in order for the Vovis Center to have them loaded and ready in your assigned presentation room on the day of HORIZONS. Specific instructions can be found on the Oral Presentations webpage.
The HORIZONS event will be held in Alumni Hall from 4:00-8:00pm on Friday, May 17. See the Plan for the Day webpage for all the details!
Students who participated in HORIZONS are asked to complete a brief survey about their experience by May 20 in order to continue improving the HORIZONS symposium.
