Assistant Director of International Student Services
Clarissa is a graduate of Monmouth College, where she earned a B.A. in International Business with minors in Economics, Spanish, and Latin American History. Her passion for global learning was further enriched by a semester abroad in Mexico, as well as class trips to Cuba and El Salvador. During her time at Monmouth, Clarissa was actively involved in various leadership roles, including serving as Vice President of Finance and Housing for Pi Beta Phi, President of the Blue Key Honor Society, and a member of the Order of Omega and Mortar Board.
In her current role as Assistant Director of International Student Services, Clarissa plays a pivotal role in supporting and advocating for international students. She also advises international students on maintaining their F-1 visa status and guiding them through complex processes. Her work extends beyond immigration compliance, as she offers general support, helps international students navigate cultural adjustments, and provides resources for transitions and program completion. Clarissa is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment that empowers international students to succeed both academically and personally.
Outside of her professional life, Clarissa enjoys spending time with her cat, Fiona, and has a love for films—especially comedies and scary movies. A creative spirit, she indulges in crafting intricate miniature dollhouses and experimenting with gluten-free baking. As an alumna of Pi Beta Phi, she also advises the Penn State Chapter, Pennsylvania Epsilon, as their Finance and Housing Advisor.
