Guest Wireless Access

About

1. Guest Wireless is a self serve process.
2. Guest Wireless is limited to a 24 hour period.
3. When the 24 hour period expires, users must re-register for wireless guest access
4. Knox.edu email addresses may not be used to access the Guest Wireless network.
5. Connecting to Wireless Guest Access should take no more than a few minutes.

Network Connection for Windows Users:

1. Logon to your computer.
2. Connect the College's guest wireless access network:   Knox Guest Access. No key or password is required.
   

   

3. If prompted for a network type, click Public Network.

   

4. Go to the Terms of Service / Completing Web Access section to complete the connection process (below).

Network Connection for Mac Users

1. Click the Wireless icon in the Menu bar.
2. From the drop down list, click on Knox Guest Access.
3. Go to the Terms of Service / Completing Web Access section to complete the connection process (below).

Terms of Service / Completing the Web Connection Process

1. Open a web browser.
2. Try to connect to CNN.com or a similar site. (This step may or may not be needed depending on your browser settings).
3. A Knox College network access Page will open. Click Start.
   
   
4. Complete the registration page as shown in this example. When finished, click "Request Guest Access".

   

5. The following screen will display. Leave the text as is. Check the Acceptable Use Policy box. Click the Login button.

   

6. You will be connected to the Knox Guest Access wireless network. Once the progress bar has completed, close and reopen your browser. You will now be able to browse the web.
