Policy on Incomplete Grades

C 7.8: Incomplete Policy

Faculty, with permission of the Academic Standing Committee, may record the mark of I (incomplete) at the end of a term in which the student, through no fault of his or her own, is unable to complete the work during the term. It shall not be given when the work has been neglected. When reporting the Faculty Regulations (May 2023) - page 12 mark of I, the instructor shall indicate the final grade that will be awarded for the course if the incomplete work is not submitted. The mark of I must be removed from a student's record as soon as possible; if it is not removed within the time limit set by the Academic Standing Committee the final grade previously indicated by the instructor will be recorded.
