Ole J. Forsberg is an Associate Professor of Mathematics-Statistics and chair of both the Statistics and the Data Science programs at Knox College of Illinois. His research focuses on using statistical techniques to better understand elections, from properly presenting and interpreting poll results to testing elections for evidence of unfairness. His second book, Understanding Elections using Statistics is published with CRC Press. He teaches courses on mathematics, statistics, and the journalism of polling. Ole received his first PhD from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in Political Science, and his second from Oklahoma State University in Statistics. He is a fan of the Portland Timbers and of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.

Kari Santos serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean and the Director of the Library at Knox College. She holds a Master’s Degree in Recreational Therapy from The University of Iowa and a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism & Recreation from Winona State University. Kari is a certified Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator, a credential awarded by the University of Missouri in collaboration with the Great Plains ADA Center. Additionally, she has been a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist since 2016, recognized by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification.
With seven years of healthcare experience and a background in education and teaching, Kari chose to further develop her leadership and administrative abilities, which brought her to Knox College. At Knox, she actively contributes to several committees, including the Seymour Library DEIA Team, the Committee on Faculty Research (CoFR), the Assessment Subcommittee of the Curriculum Committee, and the Abolition Lab.
