This link connects you with Knox College in the system and then you are free to explore other schools and request to to connect with them as well. Once a job is posted to the system, all students have access to view it. We also allow our alumni to use the system, so you are welcome to post jobs that require more experience as well. Knox's Career Center serves students seeking full time employment, internships or planning to enter graduate school. The office assists students in developing the skills necessary for their job search or graduate school by offering career and job-search consulting, workshops and seminars, career resource materials, practice interviews and individual assistance in resume preparation. Opportunities for employers include on-campus interviewing and publication of employment and internship vacancies. We are also open to discussing potential recruiting information sessions.
The Career Center welcomes potential employers to recruit our students. Interview schedules and information sessions will be arranged to your specific instructions. Interviews are normally scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, from October through May. It is recommended that a convenient date be selected at least two weeks in advance for a recruiting visit. This permits our staff to properly advertise and publicize the visit, as well as collect application materials from interested students. You then select the candidates to interview and we arrange the interview schedule and reserve an on-campus location for you to hold interviews.
Each academic year we host a variety of events both on and off campus, including networking events, employer site visits, Professional Immersion Experience (PIE) Trips, mock interviews, and topic-based workshops or presentations. Off campus travel destinations vary year-to-year and formatting for programs is generally flexible to meet your needs while providing a quality experience for students. Connect with us to explore the possibilities.
Even if you are not planning to travel to the Western Illinois area, you can still recruit or engage with our students. We can set up virtual interview schedules, information sessions, presentations, or mock interview schedules.
Knox College offers students a range of gift-funded programs to help support Knox students for internships and externships. Internships are usually, but not exclusively, summer opportunities, while externships (one-day to one-week project-based opportunities; KnoXploration) are scheduled year-round.
