What is your favorite thing about being a tutor?
My favorite part about tutoring is getting more opportunities to engage with a subject I enjoy, and sharing my enjoyment of the subject with others. I understand not everyone has the same excitement about the materials as I do, but I hope to help them understand the content in a way that is easy for them to remember and helps them maybe hate the subject less.

What is your favorite color?
Orange.

Where is your favorite place to study?
My room.

Where is your favorite place on campus?
The bench across from the soccer field.

Are you involved in any campus organizations?
I'm in 3 bands (Chicxulub, S.M.I.L.F. and a jazz combo), I'm also one of the chemistry club demonstration chairs. I also participate in IVCF.

What are your hobbies?
I play guitar, enjoy playing video games, and playing with the Knox Ultimate Frisbee team.

What do you do to relax?
I like to sit down in a comfy chair and watch some anime, or play guitar, or text my girlfriend.

Tell us about your favorite Knox memory.
One day one of my friends sent me a pic from the big timeline in the Red Room; they found my name (Lubbs) under one of the pics. Turns out its my dad watching a solar eclipse in 1997.

I can whistle pretty decently with my hands, or just my mouth.

Helping others feel rewarding. It gives positive impact on students' lives by helping them understand difficult concepts, improve their skills, and achieve their academic or personal goals.

I love hiking, skiing and spending time in nature. I try to stay active.

Sleep is the best way to relax for me. Watching favorite TV shows while eating my favorite meals.

I have a teacup Maltipoo named Hyde. She is the cutest little thing with very fluffy brown fur. I also have a female Rottweiler named Star she loves to run around and play.

I like to farm and I'm interested in agriculture. I also cook really well and won a competition or two back in the day.

What is your favorite thing about being a tutor?
I enjoy getting together with tutees and revisiting material that I learned before. I love making lesson plans and figuring out the best ways to bring different concepts across. Above all, it makes me happy to see my tutees succeed!

I'm also a TA for organic chemistry and president of photo club.

Two cats!! They are absolutely everything to me. Their names are Lotte and Button (siblings), and they couldn't be more different. They are both amazing in their own way! Ask me to show you pictures of them any time.
