The Knox College chapter of Phi Beta Kappa formally inducted 34 graduating seniors at a ceremony on campus during Commencement Weekend. Chartered in 1916, Knox's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa is the fourth-oldest in Illinois and the first one established at a liberal arts college in the state.
Members were inducted by chapter president Katherine Adelsberger, associate professor of environmental studies and Douglas and Maria Bayer Endowed Chair in Earth Science, and Helen Hoyt, assistant professor of chemistry.
