Poet David Lunde and his wife, author Patricia McKillip, will give a joint reading at 4 p.m., Friday, April 13, in the Alumni Room, Old Main, Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois. The reading is free and open to the public.
A 1963 Knox College graduate, Lunde is Professor Emeritus of English at State University of New York - Fredonia. His most recent collection of poems, "Instead," was published in March 2007. His poems and translations have been published in anthologies and journals, including Poetry, TriQuarterly, The Iowa Review, Poetry Northwest, The Literary Review, and Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine. Lunde has twice won the Rhysling Award. He is a member of the Academic Advisory Board of the Speculative Literature Foundation.
McKillip has written more than twenty science fiction and fantasy novels. Her most recent novel, "Solstice Wood," was published in 2006. Her book "Cygnet," published in 2007, is a new edition containing two of her previously released novels, "The Sorceress and the Cygnet" and "The Cygnet and the Firebird."
