Knox Statement on Student Activism and Admission

In response to the recent tragedy in Florida, a new generation of student leaders is challenging our nation to take a fresh look at ways to curb violence and ensure safety within our communities. Walkouts and days of protest are being organized across the country. As a learning community—one committed to free expression, active engagement in the world around us, and social justice—we respect those involved in the difficult work of making our world a better, safer, more just place.

If you have applied for admission to Knox College, be assured that admission offers will not be adversely affected by any disciplinary actions that might be taken by your high school arising from participation in protests, walkouts, or other peaceful efforts to effect change.
