Students are hitting the road soon for spring break 2025. In true Knox fashion, many of our students are spending their week-long break from classes taking advantage of the many experiential learning opportunities Knox offers. Here’s a list of five trips taking place over spring break--four of which alumni, parents, and friends can attend! 

Professional Immersion Trip

From March 18-21, a group of 17 students will stay in Chicago for the 2025 Knox Professional Immersion Trip. This immersion experience will give students the opportunity to visit different businesses in the Chicago area, as well as connect with Knox alumni at the networking reception following site visits. The students will stop at Chicago Architectural Center—arranged by Joe Moore ’80, as well as United Airlines with Emilie Kalghatgi ’05. Students will have several other stops around Chicago during their visit in the Windy City. Thank you to the alumni who are taking the time to mentor our students, and to the John D. Carlin Career Bridge Fund, which makes this trip possible.

Venture Boldly Campaign in Denver

The Venture Boldly campaign continues on through spring break! You can catch Knox on our stop in Denver on March 18 at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. The event includes an evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and entertainment! We hope to see many of our Denver alumni and friends. If you are in the area and would like to register for the event, there is still time! Prairie Fire Athletics Training Camps

You can find Prairie Fire teams on the road during spring break! Baseball and softball teams will both be in Florida starting March 18. Baseball will play single games everyday until the 24th in Auburndale and Davenport, Florida. The softball team will play 10 games through the 23rd in Clermont and Leesburg, Florida. Knox College Choir in Denver

The Knox College Choir will be in Denver during spring break! The choir has two performances planned. One on March 20 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, and the second on the 22nd at St. Paul Lutheran Church. And, as a special bonus, the Knox College Alumni Chorus will also be singing on the 22nd! Don’t forget to register for the events, or sign up to sing along with the Alumni Chorus! 

Cherry St. Combo in Wisconsin

The Cherry St. Jazz Combo will be touring in Wisconsin during spring break. You can catch them at their first show on March 17 in Milwaukee, and the second show on the 19th in Madison. Both shows are open to all! So if you are a student back home for a visit, an alum, or anyone living in the area, please join the Cherry St. Combo for two nights full of jazz!
