Knox College conducted its 167th Commencement exercises on the South Lawn of Old Main. Brigadier General Mark Martins and Knox senior Gregory Noth addressed the Class of 2012 before President Teresa Amott welcomed the graduates to the alumni community. Sir Andrew Davis, music director and principal conductor of Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Joseph S. Francisco, William E. Moore Distinguished Professor of Physical Chemistry at Purdue University, were each awarded honorary degrees.
