Dear friends,
I am truly excited to write to you today as the “new” editor of Knox Magazine. Serving as editor of the magazine from 2004-2018, sharing the news of the College and celebrating the Knox community was one of the true joys of my time at Knox. I cannot wait to explore once again the many wonderful stories our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends have to share.
I am also excited to announce that Knox Magazine is getting a makeover! While its current design has served us well for more than a decade, we believed it was time to look at this all-college publication with new eyes. So, over the last few months, Knox has been working with a firm to redesign the magazine. The vast majority of the magazine’s content will remain the same, including class notes. The primary changes will be aesthetic in nature.
What we are changing is our publication schedule. Knox Magazine will remain a bi-annual publication, with issues being delivered in summer and winter, instead of spring and fall. This shift will take place immediately, so the magazine you would normally receive in April will now be delivered in July. Our decision to make this change is based on reader feedback noting that coverage of our big college events appears months after the events. This publication shift will allow us to publish Commencement and Homecoming coverage a few short months after the festivities.
So be on the lookout for the next issue of Knox Magazine this summer. In the meantime, please share any questions or feedback—or simply say hello—at knoxmag@knox.edu.
All my best,
Megan
