The Clare Smith Collection includes works of friends and fellow artists, as well as eighty of her own prints.
After her children were raised, Clare Snider Smith (1908-1998) came to Knox College as a non-traditional student and learned to be a printmaker. She graduated in 1973, packed her bags and went to France. She studied viscosity printmaking with Dadi Wirz and S.W. Hayter.
Contact the Knox College Special Collections and Archives department for more information about specific holdings in the General Art Collection.
