Jonah Rubin, Assistant Professor of Anthropology-Sociology and Co-chair of Peace and Justice, participated in an interview with NPR Illinois about his research on media literacy that he conducted as a collaborative project with Knox students.
Bruce Polay, Professor Emeritus of Music, is a judge in this year’s Walgreens National Concerto Competition. Competitors are middle schoolers and high schoolers that come from all across the United States and the globe. Judges are from major university schools of music as well as from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Katie Stewart, Assistant Professor of Political Science & International Relations, gave an interview with the Association for the Study of Nationalities. She answers questions about her article, "Democratic and Autocratic Nation Building," that was recently published in Nationalities Papers.
Jon Wagner, retired Professor Emeritus of Anthropology, will be an opening speaker for the Bishop Hill Colony 175th Birthday celebration, in which he will present an overview on the history of The Bishop Hill Colony. This free program is open to the public, and will take place on Saturday, May 22, at 2pm at The Dairy Building in Bishop Hill, IL.
Charles W. and Arvilla S. Timme Professor in Economics Steve Cohn’s paper “The Implications of the Triumph of Neoclassical Economics over Marxist Economics in China,” was published in The Review of Radical Political Economics. Cohn was also a participant at the 2021 meetings of the Allied Social Science Association for a paper entitled ”How China Escaped Shock Therapy”. Congratulations Professor Cohn!
