The Good Athlete Project was founded by Jim Davis, a 2006 Knox alum, during his time pursuing his Masters degree at Harvard. The Good Athlete Project recognizes the powerful platform of athletics, aimed at developing leaders and exposing individuals to local and worldwide service opportunities. Athletics has the potential to change lives - when its done right.

The Good Athlete Project has done work in Boston, Haiti, Philadelphia, California, and Chicago, supporting terrific organizations aimed at character development and education.

Past Events:

  • Support local organizations, such as Blessings in a Backpack and the YMCA
  • Sponsored Blessings, Blues, and Brews
  • Held a fundraiser to donate money to the Knox County YMCA General Scholarship fund, allowing low-income Knox County children the opportunity to participate in meaningful programs and opportunities
