Joining the International Club (I-Club) is an exceptional way to get to know students from all over the world. As one of the largest organizations on campus, International Club promotes international awareness with a view to multiculturalism. It is open to everyone and is designed to appeal to all students.
International Fair (also known as I-Fair), one of our largest events, is held each year during winter term. Cultures from all over the world are represented and celebrated. Features of I-Fair include:
The theme of I-Fair 2013 was "Media: Painting a Global Canvas." A total of 18 clubs on campus participated in the day, and 63 countries and territories were represented in the flag ceremony.
International Club also helps international students on campus adapt to the new environment and provides them with opportunities and events to get to know their American colleagues. Included in these events are:
I-Club also hosts the International Formal (I-Formal) dance each spring, giving international and domestic students another opportunity to celebrate together. The International House (I-House) is also a housing option on campus for both international students and domestic students to mingle and learn more about each other's cultures.
Some of the International Club's many other activities include foreign movie showings, cultural dinners, presentations about other countries, and guest speakers.
