Cricket is known to be a gentleman's game, one where the mind needs to work as much as the body does. It revolves around the batting, pitching and catching of a ball. We know, now you're thinking about baseball. However, these are two sports which have a completely different set of rules and styles. Cricket is the 3rd most popular sport in the world given its popularity in the Indian sub-continent, Australia, England, West Indies and a few African Countries, and is slowly expanding its reach to other countries.
The main purpose of the Club is to give a medium to the students of Knox where people can play and learn the game of Cricket. Few players who display great skill and commitment also get a chance to participate in the Midwest Cricket Conference, one of the biggest cricket leagues in the United States.
The Club is very diverse with students from Pakistan, the United States, Nigeria, India and even the West Indies. It adds more diversity to the Knox community and Knox College is one of the very few colleges in the country with a Cricket Club.
We would love to see people from diverse backgrounds getting together for a game of Cricket at Knox.
