NEW PLAYS AUDITIONS

Auditions will take place at 6:30pm on Thursday, March 27th. If needed, there will be a second day of auditions on Friday, March 28th, also at 6:30pm. There will be a casting marathon that will only include directors that will take place on Saturday, March 29th at 1pm. Theatre majors will be expected to audition with a one-minute monologue.
New Plays dates will be the first weekend of April (April 4-5), and every weekend after that until the month ends (April 11-12, April 18-19, April 25-26). Each night of New Plays will either be a Friday or a Saturday. MEMORIZATION IS NOT REQUIRED.
Some of the plays that will be in New Plays Fest deal with very heavy topics, including physical violence, sexual assault, suicide, incest, abortion, murder, addiction, self-harm, cannibalism, mental illness, rape and cancer. For more information as to the extent of these, please email me directly at zqclarke@knox.edu. Please indicate if you would specifically not like to be cast in a show that deals with any one of these topics.
