Silent Sky tells the fascinating true story of the first women astronomers who worked at the Harvard Observatory as "computers," documenting and cataloging hundreds of thousands of stellar images taken at Harvard and sent to Harvard from observatories all over the world. These pioneers made astonishing astronomical discoveries that revolutionized our understanding of the universe while fighting for the recognition of women in science.
Please also visit the stunning Round Room Gallery display of 24 astronomical images taken from the telescope in the Knox Observatory by Knox faculty astronomer Nathalie Haurberg and Knox students. The exhibit runs to the end of the term.
