General Interests
My general interest is in studying the formation and evolution of galaxies beyond the Milky Way Galaxy. I specifically have focused most of my work on dwarf galaxies which are the lowest-mass galaxies in the local Universe. These galaxies provide us a unique window into understanding the earliest galaxies in the Universe as well as providing crucial insight into how galaxies have evolved over time. My most recent work has been with the SHIELD project which is a multi-wavelength study of very intriguing subset of lowest-mass star-forming galaxies. My primary focus is on determining the chemical abundances of star-forming regions in these galaxies through the use of long-slit spectroscopy and using that to aid in our understanding of their star-formation histories.
