General Interests
I enjoy helping students learn in the Principles of Accounting courses the fundamentals of Accounting which leads to the development of the Financial Statements. Following this, vertical and horizontal analysis of the financial statements helps students understand both internal and competitive performance. As students progress, I enjoy educating them in Managerial Accounting concepts in which they learn how to measure and improve the inner workings of Manufacturing and Service oriented companies. And finally, in Business and Society courses, I enjoy helping students learn the impact that businesses have on the multiple stakeholders they affect. Many different perspectives are explored that include ethics, financial performance, political influence, community and employee impact.
