Since 1995, the Richter Memorial Trusts have provided more than $1.3 million to support students pursuing projects that foster independence of thought and expression beyond the typical classroom setting. Funds have supported travel to conduct research, research internships, and the purchase of materials, supplies, or equipment to pursue scholarly and creative projects. Any student in any discipline is eligible to apply for funds from the Richter grant program.
First, review the Richter FAQs and How to Apply (Successfully) for a Richter Grant. Then choose the correct application based on 1) when your project is taking place and 2) type of experience:
Your faculty mentor/sponsor must provide approval of your project before your application will be considered. Your faculty sponsor will be sent an email when your application is submitted, asking them to review and approve it. Your mentor should be aware of your project in detail prior to the submission of your application.
Your Richter application must be submitted by midnight at the following dates.
