Welcome to the K Club
Greetings from the K Club,
First, let me welcome you to the K Club. I am Harold Watson, the new assistant athletic director for marketing and external relations. I have been charged with starting this new booster club to help support the Prairie Fire athletic department and our student-athletes.
Our number one goal for the K Club is to enhance the experiences that our student-athletes are receiving from their coaches and institution. Your membership to this club will enable us to make that happen. We look forward to assisting different programs with trips and events, while also providing much-needed updates about different facilities in the department.
A great example of the type of impact we will be able to have on our student-athletes is Blodgett Field. During winter break, we were able to add fencing in front of each dugout to aid in our student-athletes’ safety. This spring the work will continue with new benches and other improvements. This is only the start of things to come in the Prairie Fire athletic department.
Be sure to check the Knox Athletics Web site for sport specific updates or the K Club page for specific club information, news, and events.
I look forward to working with you in the coming weeks and months.
Go Prairie Fire!
Harold Watson

Coach's Corner
Dear K Club Members,
Let me start off by saying thank you for joining the K Club. Your contribution will allow us to give our student-athletes an enhanced athletic experience and increased opportunities to travel and compete. I really appreciate your support, and so do our student-athletes. I am excited to see the many things the K Club will accomplish with your continued support.
The Knox Women’s Basketball program has been in the rebuilding stage for the past several years. I took over the program three years ago, and I have immensely enjoyed the opportunity that Knox has given me. I am very fortunate to coach great kids that work hard on and off the court. The hard work has certainly paid off on the court, where we were able to record double-digit wins last season for the first time since the 2001-2002 season. We hope to achieve great things this year as well. We have won four Midwest Conference games this season with seven league games remaining on our schedule. I hope to surpass last year’s total of five conference wins. We have also had numerous Prairie Fire Performers of the Week -- Krystyna Williams '12 (twice) and Jenny Haskell '11 -- and one Midwest Conference Player of the Week -- Jenny Haskell '11.
Jenny is the lone senior on the team this year, and she is a big part of the success we have had this season and last. She is a rare talent who plays at full speed all the time and has an uncanny ability to get to the basket and create shots for herself and her teammates. Jenny has really stepped up her play to fill the void that was left by the graduation of Tracy Herring, Ali Hidden, Kate Moon, and Erin Navolio in 2010.
If you have a chance, visit the Knox Athletics Web site or stop by one of our games and see what Prairie Fire Women’s Basketball is all about (see our current schedule). I know you won’t be disappointed. GO PRAIRIE FIRE!
Sincerely,
Emily Cline
